North America delivers transparent armor (TA) systems that safeguard our nation’s warfighters and critical defense platforms.

From our state-of-the-art production facility in Emporia, Virginia, we manufacture high-performance glazing solutions engineered to meet and exceed the most demanding protection requirements. Our TA systems are developed through a comprehensive, system-level approach that prioritizes integration, durability, and reliability – qualities that have earned OSG global recognition across four continents.

Our collaboration with JBM, our specialized metalwork and frame manufacturing partner, enables us to deliver complete transparent armor solutions. While OSG North America focuses on development, manufacturing, and integration of advanced ballistic glass, JBM’s precision-engineered frames and structural components ensure seamless integration and optimal performance. Together, we provide the U.S. military services with comprehensive protection systems.

Our typical programs include complete transparent armor systems for vehicles such as:

  • JLTV and JLTV-A2
  • MATV
  • Combat engineering equipment
  • Various classes of military trucks and tactical vehicles
  • Lightweight armor for helicopters and special applications
  • Glass-embedded digital displays

Our systems are tested and qualified to key defense standards, including:

  • STANAG 4569 (Levels 1–4) – NATO’s standard for protection levels in armored vehicles.
  • ATPD-2352 – U.S. Army’s performance specification for transparent armor used in tactical vehicles.

Supporting our manufacturing, our in-house ballistic and impact testing laboratory is ISO 17025:2017 accredited, allowing us to deliver certified, objective testing in alignment with global defense standards.
